Much of Kauaʻi, including the Nā Pali cliffs, Waimea Canyon's interior, Mount Waiʻaleʻale and Manawaiopuna ("Jurassic") Falls, can only really be seen from the air. Most tours leave Līhuʻe Airport and last about 50 to 65 minutes; doors-off and landing tours are available.

  • Standard tour: about 50 minutes around the island; full-island tours 60 to 65 minutes.
  • Doors-off: same routes with doors removed; closed-toe shoes, no loose items, stricter weight limits.
  • Landing tour: about 90 minutes with a stop at a private site.
  • Most depart Līhuʻe Airport (LIH); some leave from Princeville.
  • Weather often forces reschedules; book 2 to 4 weeks ahead in peak seasons (December to March, June to August) and leave flexibility.
  • Safety: check the operator's record and recent reviews; a tour helicopter crashed fatally near Kalalau Beach in March 2026, and the NTSB investigation was ongoing.
  • Prices are approximate as listed in 2026 and change often; confirm and book directly with the operator.
