Maui nightlife and live music

Nightlife & live musicMauiChecked Oct. 31, 2026

Maui's nightlife is mostly live music: Kīhei is the liveliest, with South Shore Tiki Lounge (DJs and dancing after 9 p.m.) and Life's a Beach (bands, karaoke and open mic). Mulligan's on the Blue in Wailea has nightly live music, Wai Bar in Wailuku has jazz and a small dance floor, and resort lounges like the Four Seasons Lobby Lounge have Hawaiian music.

  • South Shore Tiki Lounge (Kīhei): music in the early evening, then DJs and dancing from about 9 p.m.
  • Life's a Beach (Kīhei): island-style live music, guest bands, karaoke six nights a week and open-mic nights.
  • Mulligan's on the Blue (Wailea): nightly live music, often Irish jams, plus monthly events.
  • Wai Bar (Wailuku): lounge music or live jazz, a small dance floor and karaoke night; closed Sundays.
  • Lobby Lounge, Four Seasons Resort Maui (Wailea): live Hawaiian music and some hula; cocktails 4 to 11 p.m.
  • Lahaina's Front Street bars were lost in the August 2023 fire; West Maui nightlife is now mostly in Kāʻanapali resort bars.
  • Music nights, covers and hours change often; check the venue's website or social media before you go.
